Missy’s House is very special place – a wonderfully designed, spacious home, nestled in the woods, specifically designed to offer a luxury space for guests with additional needs or disabilities to enjoy. This fabulous project is the brainchild Rupert Conant and his family at Bulwick Estates and it really does offer the most incredible fully accessible, luxury retreat. The kitchen, art room cabinetry and utility room were all designed and installed by The Stamford Kitchen Company. In terms of the design brief for the kitchen,  it was important to make the kitchen look and feel luxurious and stylish, but ensure that it remained user friendly for all guests, including wheelchair users. Specific details such as adding a lower height, elongated hob with space underneath to allow wheelchair users to sit close enough to the hob and use it at the correct height to maintain independence and safety were crucial. There is also a large sink with knee space, fitted to lower height, side opening ovens with roll under space and a heatproof pull out, hidden worksurface all carefully added to allow freedom and ease for guests.
