This stunning home was one of those projects that was an absolute pleasure to be part of. Our client was looking for a practical, yet elegant kitchen design to fit seamlessly within the oak framed extension of their period home. Whilst we were keen to create a contemporary feel, the scheme was designed to be in keeping with age of the property and so this smooth, slim framed shaker door was chosen.
The layout was centred around the stunning black Aga, which was framed beautifully by the newly constructed plasterwork mantle. The hand-silvered mirror behind the Aga adds characterful detail and throws the light around this area of the room.
The palette for the kitchen is soft and earthy; incorporating natural materials in the flooring and open shelving. A light porcelain colour was used on the outer units to give a sense of space and this was complemented beautifully by the Regiment green used on the island.
