A beautifully appointed town centre property where the clients were keen to update the kitchen layout to make a stylish and practical space in which to cook, share coffee with friends and provide access to the courtyard garden.Key features within the kitchen include a breakfast cupboard to house all the smaller appliances and dry foods, full height fridge freezer, dishwasher, open shelving to add interest and personality to the room, a downdraft hob to negate the need for a ceiling mounted extractor and a clean, airy colour palette.

As part of the project, there was an element of structural work required in order to remove the hearth and chimney breast from the kitchen and to block up one of the three entrances into the room creating wall space for cabinetry. The window openings were enlarged in preparation for the new french doors and crittall style windows. The addition of the new doorway to the garden meant that the stop cock for the mains water feed required relocation. Two new radiators were added to the kitchen to ensure that this space stays cosy in the winter. Plastering work was completed and flooring throughout the kitchen and dining room was leveled, screeded and new LVT flooring was laid, giving a better flow to this area of the house.
